As with starting anything new, this one gives me the nerves. With the current season of the HBO show, Silicon Valley fresh on my mind, I kind of feel like Erlich Bachman today. Only, I don’t know if I’m looking at AVIANTO or Pied Piper (let’s say AVIANTO for the moment).
I’m very pleased that codeDressed is finally live. I have been working on creating this website for a while now, putting content together, tumbling and stubbing my toe through pieces of CSS code as I do so. I hope you like the content here, and would love to hear your thoughts on anything here; the clothes, the website, the pictures, or maybe even the premise of the blog and any similar stories you have to share around it.
I am putting together a spring/summer outfit in this post. I love crop tops, and personally feel they are a blessing for petite frames like mine. I’d have loved to have had longer legs, but since limb enhancement isn’t for all (read, for anyone), a visual illusion will have to do. Crop tops serve a great purpose here making you appear naturally longer in the torso, by giving you a cutoff line on your midriff. I personally like to keep it chic by showing only a hint of skin, but one can choose to go higher/blend in with whatever looks good on one’s frame.
With my vested interests around crop tops, I thought it’s only apt that this is be the first post. I am pairing a stretch fit crop top by J.O.A (currently on sale – link below) with a pair of Tehya printed shorts (also on sale :D). I love the vibrant colors and patterns of these shorts and they are really breathable, well suited for the summer/spring – I’m in San Diego, the place of eternal summer :). These shorts are from KAS New York. I love the KAS collection, a unique blend of urban clothing inspired by bohemian designs. I am carrying a Tory Burch clutch here that can also be alternated as a cross body bag.
Do check out the links to the outfit and the shoes below, and let me know if you’ve anything to say in the comments section below.
