Bright in Dark

May 25, 2016 8 Comments

A warm summer day. Gourmet tacos  and dark chocolate mousses. A cool breeze and stunning views of the water. All in a day’s work at the place I call home, La Jolla, California. I decided to step out in a yin and yang mix of bright and dark fabrics.

Here I’m revisiting the Peter Pan collar and bow tied top from the last post to show versatile a piece it is. It’s paired here with a black faux leather jacket and a pair of crocheted shorts from Daisy Shoppe. I bought mine from their store in Fashion Valley, San Diego. For folks in San Diego and SoCal, do go check out their store and support your  local houses who do great work.

I love the overall feel and look of this combination. To top things off, I got into a pair of black trainers – extremely useful while hanging out and about the coast, and a leather crossbody bag from Michael Kors

An overdose of pose?

Also have on my new pair of sunglasses – a rare piece that actually fits my petite face to perfection 😛

You were supposed to count me down!

All links below. The jacket, the cross body bag and the shorts have been around for a while, so I couldn’t find the links handy. Posting links here of closely matched items from the same stores  that’ll fit the bill nicely if you want the same pairing.

Jacket: Leather Moto Jacket from Bebe
Top: Peter Pan collar top from Forever 21
Bag: Sloan crossbody from Michael Kors
Bottom: Shorts from Daisy Shoppe

All images by the brilliant and fun to work with, @urbancell_vault. Do check his feed for great shots and sights.

Bonus: Gourmet tacos [Puestos] and dark chocolate mousse [THE LOT] I swear by these 😀

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the
book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few pics
to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is great blog.
A great read. I’ll definitely be back.
