A color story in BLACK AND WHITE

How often does it happen that you need to head to some place outside work right after a long day at work? Course, your hair is a mess, you have a few more ruffles than you’d have liked and your general vibe is rushed. It’s one thing being casual, totally another being disoriented with very little in your control. And to top it all, you got to switch from a stressed round of discussions to a serene atmosphere.

Had one of these days recently, and was luckily wearing something that can easily be passed off as something for the 9-5 or for an evening out (or at least that’s how it looks like in my head :D). Was headed to a comedy club for some laughs, nothing better to destress from a day out at work.

I was wearing a plain black shirt, and a tiered crocheted skirt. I feel, this skirt is a statement piece with its layered crochet and scalloped hem. With a piece like this skirt, I decided to pair it with a simple classic shirt. The shirt is an office go-to piece. Yes, I am half-guessing we all have at least one such black shirt. Whether by design or accident, I’ve been wearing a lot of monochromes lately, especially as skirts (should probably do something about that)

Oh, and stumbled upon this breathtaking piece of a wall. The murals of La Jolla have added so much to this part of town since they cropped up over the last few years.
