“Do you wear clothing that reflects your mood or do you wear clothing to change your mood?”
I saw this screaming from a billboard someplace, and it got me thinking…does make sense….but is it a chicken-and-egg situation?. What reflects what? I am, at times, among those people who wear clothes to change my mood and how I feel. I believe clothes can sometimes change how you feel. For instance, wearing something I had gotten many compliments or have happy memories automatically cheers me up. The last few weeks were super busy at my day job and one morning I was feeling bogged down and tired, and one of the many ways I decided to make myself feel better was to wear a happy outfit. Today’s post is all about that chic 9 to 5 wear.
My favorite in this outfit is the top. The sleeves on this top with its pretty ruffles makes it a statement piece. I always love a good gingham print. This top has it all, a good print, pretty sleeves and a high choker neck. Another benefit of this top, with its high neck and full sleeves is it is good for the office chill, leaving behind the need to carry an extra blazer or a jacket
I combined it with these mustard colored trousers from Zara last season which turned out to be a perfect color for fall. To keep it minimalist and classy, added the elegant Daniel Wellington watch and DW rose gold cuff to the outfit.
Loafers are becoming a huge trend in Fall lately. I picked this one by Franco Sarto from Nordstrom. It is a beautiful black color and chic with the tiny fringes and silver clasp which adds an edge. It is gorgeous and comfortable. When it comes to shoes, comfort is my priority and this one just fits the bill.
