A timepiece of beauty, handcrafted and designed in wood!

I’m starting this new series on the blog, capturing some of my favorite products of the month. This month, in the first of these, the Spotlight is on this uniquely designed wood watch. When I first came across these beauties, I was intrigued since I had never seen watches purely made out of wood. Reading up a little more on the product, I learnt that JORD creates these exquisite timepieces out of beautiful wood from all over the world, with a focus on sustainability and efficiency. So, when they reached out for a collaboration, Β I was really happy to try them out and feature them on ‘codeDressed‘. I picked out this husky dark sandalwood and slate watch for its minimalist style and I couldn’t have been happier when it arrived.

As I alluded to before, I initially couldn’t quite comprehend how a watch could be made of wood. I had my doubts about how sleek it would look, the durability and how a wood bracelet would feel on the skin. But once, I unboxed what was a pretty well designed box, I was in for a pleasant surprise. The watches are actually as beautiful and sleek in person as they are in the pictures. All of them are made from a variety of wood. The one I picked is made of dark sandalwood from East Africa. Needless to say, you do get the sense of owning a very unique piece and it adds a distinct flair to any outfit you choose to style it with. With the holiday season approaching, I can totally see these making for a great thoughtful holiday gift to send across.

JORD is also giving a 25$ e-gift coupon to readers of this blog. Please check the links below for details.
